Women's MTB Course | Purple

The purple course is for those of you who already have good control of your bike and want to develop more advanced techniques that will make you faster, safer, and more fluid on the trail.
Here, we begin combining several elements—such as front- and rear-wheel lifts, drops, and jumps—and learn how these techniques can be used together to tackle more challenging trails, higher berms, and steeper sections.

This course is perfect for those who have already taken our MTB Blue course or have equivalent experience, and who want to build on their skills in jumps, drops, and pump techniques with precision and confidence.

As always in our courses, we work in small groups where each participant receives individual feedback and the opportunity to develop at their own level.

What You'll Learn

Front Wheel Lift – Review
A quick review of the front wheel lift in preparation for more advanced exercises such as the back wheel lift and step climbs.

Rear Wheel Lift Learn how to lift the rear wheel and combine front and rear wheel lifts.

Perform ledges using front and rear wheel lifts
Practice getting up onto obstacles and curbs by coordinating your front and rear wheel lifts.

Drop Technique – Review
A brief review of the drop technique from the Blue Course to prepare for Drop Technique – Level 2.

Drop Technique – Level 2
Start dropping with more speed and confidence. Learn to control your body position and the bike’s movement in the air.

Pumping Technique
Build speed across the terrain without pedaling—find your rhythm and feel the pump.

Jumping Techniques – Level 1
Introduction to jumping. Learn how to jump using the terrain and simple edges/bumps (no double jumps).

Turning Technique – Level 2
Advanced turning on slopes, with a focus on eye placement, line selection, and pumping technique during turns.

Trail Riding with Line-Choosing Practice
Final ride back to the store, focusing on line choice, position, and the new techniques—front/rear wheel lifts, bunny hops, and drops.
