Nature for Everyone
A project with Rullegruppen Göteborg to promote freedom of movement for children with mobility impairments
Nature should be accessible to everyone. Through the “Nature for Everyone” project, we want to give children with mobility impairments the opportunity to experience the joy of movement, a sense of community, and adventure in the forest on their own terms. For many, the opportunity to get out into nature is something they take for granted, but for people with mobility impairments, it can present significant challenges. We want to change that.
This project is made possible thanks to the incredible work of Rullegruppen, along with support from the City of Gothenburg’s Sports and Association Administration.

“Nature for Everyone” is aimed at children and young people ages 12–18. Through education and hands-on training, participants learn to drive an Exoquad—an all-terrain vehicle that makes it possible to navigate trails and natural areas that might otherwise be difficult or impossible to reach. The goal is to give more young people the opportunity to explore nature, develop new skills, and experience the joy of physical activity in a safe and secure way.
This project is about much more than just getting out into nature and riding an Exoquad. It’s about freedom, independence, community, and the opportunity to experience the tranquility of the forest, adventure, and nature together with others. Our vision is simple—no young person should be excluded from nature experiences because of a mobility impairment. Because we believe that nature should truly be accessible to everyone.
Program
Each participant receives a personalized welcome from a representative of Rullegruppen upon arrival. At the meeting point, participants are welcomed and given the opportunity to ask questions before the activity begins.
Afterward, a joint safety briefing is held with the certified Exoquad instructor from Bikemaestro. During this briefing, participants go over the vehicle, safety procedures, and how the ride works to ensure a safe and secure experience.
After the briefing, the Exoquad instructor takes over and guides the participant during the ride. The participant gets to try riding the Exoquad at a leisurely pace, and the ride is fully tailored to the individual’s experience, comfort level, and ability so that everyone has the opportunity to progress at their own pace.

Rullegruppen Göteborg
Rullegruppen Göteborg is a nonprofit organization that promotes the joy of movement, a sense of community, and greater independence for people who use wheelchairs. Through adapted training, outdoor activities, and nature experiences—such as tours with the Exoquad, an electric all-terrain wheelchair—participants are given the opportunity to be active in the woods and countryside on their own terms. The organization’s work is based on inclusion and accessibility, and its goal is to enable more people to participate in physical activity, community, and adventure, regardless of their functional abilities.
